However, a new claim from Brandel Chamblee about the enigmatic Rahm will leave LIV Golf fans very worried indeed.
Rahm is in a tough spot on LIV right now, due to the fact that he was the last big-name star to join the Saudi-backed outfit.
As a result, his contract has longer left to run than the likes of Bryson DeChambeau, Cameron Smith and Joaquin Niemann.

Brandel Chamblee reveals what he’s heard about Jon Rahm and LIV Golf
Chamblee is never one to mince his words.
In fact, that’s the reason why he creates so many headlines, and golf fans are always clamoring to read what he has said.
That will be no different this time round with his latest claim on Jon Rahm.
During an appearance on The Trey Wingo Podcast, Chamblee was asked to name the golfer who surprised him most by joining LIV Golf.
“Maybe Jon Rahm is not all in, you know, to an extent, you know, the music’s blaring,“ Chamblee said.
“People have got their phones out. I’ve heard that he’s pretty annoyed when he’s out there playing.
“I got to admit, of all the players that left for LIV, he was the most bizarre to me, because, you know, first of all, he said he wouldn’t go. He said it demonstratively and definitively.
“And then he looked like a player that had a game that would endure for a long, long time into the future to where he would be talked about as one of the greatest players of all time, and he traded all that for money. Money that, you know, he didn’t need.
“And he could have made probably as much money or maybe more on into the future, it just made no sense to me.“
It’s a really fair point from Chamblee.
Rahm moving to LIV Golf seems like such a waste. However, if Koepka is allowed to return to the PGA Tour without too much trouble within the next 12 months, the Spaniard may well consider taking the same route as the American.
Jon Rahm backed for ‘monster’ 2026 season
Despite what Chamblee says, Rahm is unquestionably still one of the best players in the game right now.
Sure, he didn’t win on LIV in 2025, but that will only make him more hungry to get the job done this year.
Golf journalist Ryan Lavner has backed Rahm to have a ‘monster’ 2026 season this year.
“I think Jon Rahm is going to have a monster 2026. He is back to being an elite player off the tee. He was back in 2025 to being in the mix at the major championships, I know he had a back nine to forget at Quail Hollow at the PGA Championship,” he said.
Which of these LIV Golf stars would you least like to see back on the PGA Tour?
“I really do believe – and there’s been a lot of talk about the move on LIV Golf from 54 to 72 holes – I think that is exactly the elixir that Jon Rahm needs. That is the cadence he is used to playing professional golf.
“I think the results are going to follow. It would not surprise me at all if he picks off three or four wins on LIV, parlays into a very successful major championship season. It hasn’t just been Jon Rahm not winning majors since the move to LIV, he hasn’t really been winning anything, period.
“But I saw enough statistically, the improvement, getting his feet under him and what LIV is going to be about, and the cadence of his schedule that way. I think Jon Rahm is going to be back to being a top three, top five player in the world in 2026.”
Nobody would be surprised to see Rahm play well again.
However, could the lack of competition on LIV Golf prove to be detrimental to the Spaniard once again? Only time will tell…
