Anyone in the world could pick their best five golfers of all time but when a current PGA Tour player names his best ever, it’s easier to take notice.
With so many brilliant golfers over the years, it can be hard to name the top five.
Of course, the names of Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus are often in the top few, while the rest are more open to debate.
Whether it’s judged on major wins, impact on the sport, or just who someone likes as a player, picking a five is often a difficult task once you get beyond Woods and Nicklaus.
However, current PGA Tour player Wesley Bryan – who has recently been suspended by the TOUR – has named his top five and surprisingly, picked a current LIV Golf player in their.

Wesley Bryan’s top five golfers of all-time
With Bryan being one of the most popular social media stars in golf as well as him being a winner on the PGA Tour, he is often open to speaking on matters over on X.
And this week, joining in the debate about the best five of all time, Bryan named his, and included a spot for Phil Mickelson as well.
In terms of others who’ve picked, Jack Nicklaus went with Woods, Bobby Jones and Ben Hogan alongside himself, while current PGA Tour star Max Homa suggested Scottie Scheffler was halfway there.
Phil Mickelson slams PGA Tour over Wesley Bryan suspension
Bryan might be taking a light-hearted approach and simply joining in a discussion point here, but in a more serious matter, it does look like he has the support of Mickelson as well.
Bryan has been suspended by the PGA Tour for playing in the recent ‘LIV Duels’ event.
However, Mickelson has slammed the PGA Tour for how they’ve handled things.
“Here’s a question. Normally when an entity violates independent contract law, they deny that it happened and forces the contractor/individual to prove that it did.
“In this case, the PGA Tour blatantly admits they are illegally banning an independent contractor so why doesn’t the DOJ step in and enforce the law? Why does the individual have to sue to enforcer the law? DOJ do your fffing job!”
Mickelson has commented on similar issues like this before as he pushes back at how the PGA Tour operates since his move to LIV.
With no deal yet to come between LIV and the PGA, it looks like it won’t be the last we hear from Mickelson or others either.
