Tiger Woods has shared what the future holds for the famous TW logo after the end of his partnership with Nike Golf.

Only Tiger Woods could create so many headlines over the apparel he is wearing. But it was no surprise to see the golfing world stunned when it was announced that Woods would no longer be working with Nike after nearly 28 years.

Woods and Nike were synonymous with each other.

Tiger Woods will not use TW logo anymore

Obviously, we had a taste of the 48-year-old working with other manufacturers after Nike stopped producing equipment in 2016. Woods has predominantly used TaylorMade clubs in the years since.

But now his partnership with TaylorMade is even stronger, with his Sun Day Red clothing brand being launched ahead of this week’s Genesis Invitational at Riviera.

Some may be wondering what the future holds for the famous TW logo. And speaking ahead of the tournament, he suggested that there are no plans to use the logo anymore.

“I don’t want it back. I’ve moved on. This is a transition in my life, I’ve moved on to Sun Day Red, and we’re looking forward to building a brand that elicits excitement and is transformative,” he said.

Woods is surely going to be incredibly successful with his new brand. Ultimately, he is still one of the biggest superstars in the sport. And he does not need to play more than a handful of events a year anymore to keep that tag.

But the name and the look of Sun Day Red is going to divide opinion. For this particular writer, there are not going to be any mad dashes to the stores to buy the new stuff.

However, there will be plenty who absolutely love the concept and the clothing. And they will be stocking up in the same way that many of us were in the noughties to buy the caps with TW on them in the hope of capturing the slightest hint of the magic.
