Sergio Garcia is one of the most popular European golfers of the last 20 years and having won one major championship, the Spaniard has been discussing his chances of winning more.

Garcia has the Masters to his name meaning he gets lifetime exemptions to Augusta National and subsequently, a chance at winning that second major for a while yet.

Of course, Garcia’s chances of adding to his haul are becoming more and more limited thanks to his move to LIV Golf.

Despite cashing in on a big contract from the PIF-backed tour, Garcia has seen his world ranking drop significantly, and he failed to qualify for The Open this year.

However, Garcia did manage to finish 12th in the US Open to show his credentials.

And according to the man himself, he’s very much still looking to win more majors.

Sergio Garcia makes majors pledge after missing The Open

Speaking in an interview with Golf Monthly, Garcia covered a range of topics and eventually got onto his hopes of more major wins.

And speaking emphatically, Garcia admitted he’s got more in mind.

“I’m not done,” Garcia quipped.

“I think so [can win another major], without a doubt. I think with the way that I’ve played over these last few years, but mostly this year, it definitely shows me that I can.

“I played very well at the US Open without too much stuff really going my way – I finished 12th – so I felt like I had a little bit of an outside chance there.

“The way I’ve been playing, it gives me the feeling that I’m not done in that aspect. I will give myself chances, and then it comes down to little things here and there, but I still feel like I can give myself chances.”

Garcia will fancy his chances

Despite being into his 40s, Sergio Garcia looks like he’s very much in fine shape both physically and in terms of his golf.

Garcia actually finished third in the individual standings and after Garcia admitted his Fireballs will have a new player for 2025, the Spaniard will be hopeful for a big year.

Garcia has also spoken of his desire to get his DP World Tour membership back and that shows a desire to go and keep winning and competing.

The Spaniard will be buoyed by the likes of Bryson DeChambeau winning the US Open while on LIV, while he’ll even look at experienced players like Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson winning against the odds in recent years.

Rest assured, then, that Sergio Garcia will be around for some time.
