Tiger Woods may remain out of competitive action, but the legendary figure is still one of the most important names in the world of golf.
Woods dealt with high-pressure situations expertly during his prime, helping him clinch unparalleled success.
Among his endless list of stunning records are 82 PGA Tour victories and 15 major championship victories.
The former figure places Woods joint-top of the all-time list with Sam Snead, while the latter is just three behind all-time major leader Jack Nicklaus.
Scottie Scheffler is emulating Woods and Nicklaus at this moment in time, but it remains to be seen if he can reach the heights the two legends did in their careers.

Tyrrell Hatton and Ian Poulter debate if Tiger Woods is the greatest golfer of all time
Woods has now been the topic of discussion between Tyrrell Hatton and Ian Poulter, with the LIV Golf duo having been presented with a series of statements by Sportbible, of which they needed to strongly agree, agree, disagree, or strongly disagree.
When it was suggested that ‘Tiger Woods is the greatest golfer of all time’, Hatton picked agree, while Poulter almost agreed.
Poulter said of his hesitation: “I’m 85% agreeing. Jack was pretty good too,” with Hatton then backing up his choice, saying of Woods: “Probably in the way that he changed golf.
“In terms of major records, Jack obviously has won more, but yeah, I think how Tiger changed golf and the records that he went on to set, he was unbelievable. I mean, Poults played with him.”

Poulter added: “I mean, I’d happily go there (agree) if you said the best golfer I’ve ever seen and played with. That would be there (strongly agree). It’s not even a question.
“On another stratosphere. The shots he was capable of hitting, the shots I’ve seen him hit, never seen anyone else hit it like that.”
Whether Ian Poulter thinks he is ‘the biggest Ryder Cup legend’ ever
Woods was undoubtedly a class above during his prime, although many golf fans would have loved to have seen him take on an in-form Nicklaus.
Sadly that never transpired, but fans of the sport do simply appreciate just how world-class the players were in their own right.

However, Woods did have a poor Ryder Cup record, which certainly cannot be said of European hero Poulter.
But the Englishman opted to disagree with the statement that ‘Ian Poulter is the biggest Ryder Cup legend’.
Hatton picked the same option, saying: “I think that there’s so many guys that have been amazing for Team Europe to single one out and say that they were the best.
“There’s so many guys that have had amazing Ryder Cup careers and amazing moments in the Ryder Cup. It’d be hard to just say that one person is the best.”

Poulter then commented: “It’s really easy. There is no individual in team, and this will never be an individualistic question like that, because that’s not fair.
“Seve [Ballesteros] in my opinion has been the best, the most emotional, the most passionate, someone that’s driven that team for two decades when we were struggling, so it’s hard to put that anywhere on that side of the line because that’s team right there.”
It is indeed Ballesteros’s fellow Spaniard Sergio Garcia who leads the way for all-time Ryder Cup points across both Europe and the USA.
Garcia wasn’t selected for the Ryder Cup team at Bethpage Black, but he has 28.5 points to his name, while Poulter is 10th on Europe’s all-time list with 16.
