Tommy Fleetwood might have already won on the European Tour this year but that doesn’t mean he’s perfected everything in his golf game.

Like most players who give the game a go, there’s always something to improve on and it seems like that’s the case for the very best in the world.

Fleetwood, of course, is a top 20 player worldwide and saw off Rory McIlroy recently to win in Dubai.

The Englishman is hoping for a big year and will hope to finally win on the PGA Tour this year as well as put himself in contention for the majors.

But to do so, Fleetwood will need to really hone his craft.

And speaking to Rick Shiels on his YouTube channel recently, Fleetwood admitted there’s a certain yardage he hates.

Speaking about playing shots from quite close to the green, Fleetwood admitted that there’s a certain shot that he just struggles with consistently.

“I sort of get within 50 and I’m comfortable or within 60. But then, high 60s and anything with a seven in front of it I struggle a bit. Not necessarily the strike I just struggle with the distance. Then once I get back into the 80s I’m ok again. It’s just a weird one. I’ve got a good feel for anything shorter and I’ve got positions for anything 85 onwards so it’s a bit in no-mans land. And I don’t practice it that much either so I don’t get much better at it,” Fleetwood said.

Fleetwood has given plenty of insight in recent weeks across different platforms online.

Indeed, Fleetwood also admitted recently that he thinks he is ‘useless’ out of the rough and had even asked Rory McIlroy for some tips.

Like most golfers, Fleetwood obviously feels there’s elements to his game he can get much better at.

But in reality, if Tommy Fleetwood is suggesting certain parts of golf are tough for him, then it just shows how hard the game is for the mere mortal.
