Tommy Fleetwood was a beaten and dejected man at The Travelers after losing out to Keegan Bradley on the final hole and he’s had his say on the partisan American crowd at the event.
With Bradley winning with the final shot of the tournament, the largely American home crowd went wild as Bradley celebrated his comeback win.
For Fleetwood, the pain was clear and he had to stand and endure the celebrations as he walked off wondering what might have been.
With the Ryder Cup to come in a few months and Fleetwood likely to be on the team, it gave him a taste of what might be to come against a Keegan Bradley led Ryder Cup side.
However, rather than get into a war of words, Fleetwood instead had a classy message towards the fans.

Tommy Fleetwood sends message to USA crowds after losing to Keegan Bradley
It is so hard to lose in the fashion that Tommy Fleetwood did here and still come out swinging.
He remained classy to the press afterwards, showing just how players need to respond to defeats as well as victories in the game.
Indeed, when pressed on the situation with the crowd, Fleetwood admitted he had nothing but admiration for the support he gets in the USA.
“Yeah, it was great. I always feel like I have amazing support. If there’s one guy around here that you’re going to go against, obviously, Keegan’s going to get the majority of support. I felt like the crowd was great with all week,” the Englishman admitted.
“I always feel like I’m very lucky with how the people are with me and how they warm to me. I enjoyed playing — it was a great atmosphere to play in. It really was. I enjoyed that side of it.”
Tommy Fleetwood explains his near misses
Tommy Fleetwood now has the unwanted record of being the man who has the most top ten finishes without winning a PGA Tour event in the last 40 years.
However, for Fleetwood, it’s all about perseverance and he believes the win will come soon enough.
“Obviously there’s a lot of chat about it. I think — I would have loved to have done it today, search goes on, I guess. When it happens it will be very, very sweet,” Fleetwood added.
“I don’t know, really. I said yesterday, and I know I keep saying it but I haven’t really been in a position where I’ve really been in contention to really worry about when my win might come. Today was one of those days, led for 71 holes and it didn’t happen.
“But, you know, like in my mind, yeah, I’ve won loads of PGA TOUR events, I just haven’t done it in reality and I’m sure that time will come if I keep working.”
Fleetwood will now probably down tools and take a rest, before resetting and attempting to win The Open at Royal Portrush in a few weeks’ time.
