Tom Kim will have certainly felt that he should have won the Genesis Championship after leading by one going down the final hole on Sunday in Incheon.
The South Korean fans did indeed get to see one of their own lift the Genesis Championship title, but it was Byeong Hun An who clinched victory after beating Tom Kim in a play-off.
Kim was agonisingly close to winning the tournament after 72 holes, with the 22-year-old seemingly preparing to celebrate after hitting what he felt was going to be the winning putt on the 18th hole. However, a cruel lip out meant that a play-off against his Presidents Cup teammate was needed.

An was fortunate to avoid the water with his drive. But from there, it was Kim who made a mess of the par five. He found the thicker rough with his second shot and ended up getting his chip all wrong. Ultimately, he looked set to tap in for bogey before An confirmed his victory with a birdie.
How Tom Kim reacted to missing out on the Genesis Championship title
And it seems that Kim could not hide his frustration once he got back to the locker room after the play-off. According to Yonhap News Agency, Kim broke the door on his locker, apparently in frustration over the result. The report notes that the KPGA Tour are expected to ask the 22-year-old to cover the cost of repairs.
Of course, Kim will need no-one to tell him that he has crossed the line if his anger has indeed boiled over. But he does perhaps need to have a serious think about how he has handled certain situations this season.
No stranger to apologising this season
It is not the first time that he has had to apologise. Kim stunned the American team at the Presidents Cup by accusing a member of their group of swearing at him during one match at Royal Montreal. Kim would go on to apologise to Jim Furyk and Xander Schauffele over his comments.
Meanwhile, Kim also issued an apology after damaging a green at the St Jude Championship earlier in the season.
His fire makes Kim one of the most engaging players on the PGA Tour. He did all he could to inspire the Internationals on Thursday at the Presidents Cup as he took on Scottie Scheffler.

And he is only 22 years of age. Even in an era when golfers are hitting their peak earlier and earlier, Kim is still one of the youngest superstars around right now. So it is important to not go over the top with the criticism when he does get things wrong.
However, there is no doubt that it is not a good look at all to seemingly vent his frustration in the manner he did on Sunday.
