Tiger Woods will make his return to golf this weekend with a brand new caddie and tee it up as he plays host at the Genesis Open in LA.

Woods is the top draw for all golf fans in one of the most glamorous events on the PGA Tour schedule in 2024.

Of course, the inclusion of Woods is a massive plus-point for the entire tour and it could be the start of Tiger gearing up to feature a bit more throughout 2024. Woods will be hoping to play in the Masters in a few months’ time, and this is the ideal prep.

However, it won’t all be familiar territory for Tiger Woods and his legion of fans.

The ‘GOAT’ is expected to play with a new caddie in the Genesis, as reported by Golfweek.

Tiger Woods to use new caddie for the Genesis Open

According to the report from Golfweek, Woods will turn to an experienced head to be his latest caddie when he tees it up on the west coast this coming weekend.

That man will be the experienced Lance Bennett.

The experienced Bennett has been around the tour for some time now and has been on the bag for a number of high profile names over the years. Those names include the likes of Matt Kuchar, Sungae Im, and Davis Riley.

Tiger’s move to using Bennett comes as Joe LaCava has moved on to work with Patrick Cantlay on a more permanent basis.

Woods has been quite stringent on who he’s had be his caddie over the years. He has only ever used Mike ‘Fluff’ Cowan, Steve Williams, and the aforementioned LaCava.

This is a big chance for Bennett, then, to work with Tiger in what many hope will be something of a comeback year for the 15-time major winner.
