Tiger Woods’ former coach Hank Haney recently shared his thoughts on whether Brooks Koepka will return to the PGA Tour soon.
The 34-year-old was asked about his future plans last month, and his response was, “We’ll see,” suggesting that he’s considering his options.
Golf fans are now convinced that Koepka wants to leave LIV Golf despite his eligibility to play in all four major championships this year.
Haney didn’t hold back in his comments on Koepka and the two rival tours…

Hank Haney questions whether Brooks Koepka wants PGA Tour return
Haney doesn’t agree that Koepka is eyeing a return to the PGA Tour in the foreseeable future.
Instead, he believes that the American’s recent comments were totally in line with his nonchalant personality and not an inclination that he wants out of LIV.
Haney also criticised the PGA Tour schedule, which consists of so many “meaningless” events, just like LIV.
“Koepka said that, and it’s the first thing you see blasted everywhere because, of course, Koepka is the guy they’re rumouring to maybe want to go back to the PGA Tour,” Woods’ old coach explained. “I don’t think he wants to go back to the PGA Tour. Does he want to do better on LIV? Yeah. Does he like to negotiate every single thing? Yeah.
“If you sign Brooks Koepka, you’re going to get a lukewarm endorsement no matter what you sign him for. That’s what you got from day one. He’s just not a Bubba Watson, Phil Mickelson or Bryson DeChambeau total team player. He’s not. I don’t think that comes as any surprise to anybody.
“He doesn’t have a contract for next year, supposedly, or maybe it’s got one more year. I don’t know. I’m sure he’d like to get an extension or get more money. Why wouldn’t he?
“I don’t know why anybody who’s eligible for major championships would want to go back to the PGA Tour. Why would you want to do that? I don’t see anybody on the PGA Tour who’s dying to play more. The tournaments on the PGA Tour are as meaningless as the tournaments on the LIV Tour. There are four major tournaments. That’s it.”
Brooks Koepka’s Masters 2025 chances assessed
It’s hard to think of another player who elevates their game in major championships more than Brooks Koepka.
The three-time PGA Championship and two-time US Open winner has more major victories than both Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy.
That’s why it’s impossible to rule him out of winning The Masters despite his underwhelming performances on LIV Golf this season.
The 34-year-old has only contended at one of the five LIV events this year (Singapore), but it would hardly be surprising to see him near the top of the leaderboard on Sunday afternoon.
Koepka probably has as much chance of winning the Green Jacket as any LIV Golfer outside of 2023 champion Jon Rahm.
