The Australian PGA Championship returns this week, an event co-sanctioned by the Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia and the DP World Tour.
After finishing runner-up in 2024, Cameron Smith is eyeing a strong Australian PGA Championship, which takes place at Royal Queensland Golf Club.
His fellow Australian Elvis Smylie won the tournament last time out, securing a two-stroke win over LIV Golf star Smith.
They are among a long list of home favorites taking on this week’s Australian PGA Championship, one of whom is Anthony Quayle.

Tiger Woods’ former caddie Steve Williams to return at the Australian PGA Championship
Quayle has two senior wins to his name, having triumphed at the Queensland Open in 2020 and the Queensland PGA Championship in 2022.
This week, however, many eyes could be on his caddie, with Quayle set to work with Steve Williams for the tournament and the upcoming Australian Open.
Do you think Tiger Woods can win another PGA Tour event?
Among other high-profile players, the New Zealand native has famously worked with Tiger Woods, and was on the bag for 13 of his 15 major championship wins.
Also a former employee of Greg Norman and Adam Scott, Williams has been sharing insight into Woods’ career in recent times, having stepped back from his caddie duties.

What does Steve Williams think about Anthony Quayle?
Williams has clearly learned a lot from his days with the likes of Woods and Scott, and Quayle is now set to benefit from that knowledge.
Speaking of how the upcoming events might pan out, the caddie told Australian Golf Digest of the player: “Anthony’s had a lot of experience and he’s got the great opportunity this year of playing on the DP World Tour.
“It’s a first-time experience for him and he’s got the talent and ability. If I can pass on any information that might assist him in his journey, it’s worth it.
“I don’t look at it from the results standpoint these two weeks, it’s about what he can get out of me and to encourage him to fulfil his potential.”
