If you’re breaking records set by Tiger Woods, you must be doing something special.
Tiger Woods is the greatest player to have ever graced the game in the eyes of many and his arrival on the professional scene in the mid-1990s transcended the sport.
So the fact that Jackson Koivun is already drawing comparisons with the 15-time major champion proves just how talented the young man is.
Do you think Scottie Scheffler will beat Tiger Woods’ consecutive cuts record?
He's not even halfway there right now…
The 20-year-old has already displayed his incredible ability during his numerous appearances on the PGA Tour.
Koivun is primed to challenge the PGA Tour’s best players over the course of the next couple of decades.
Numerous high-profile PGA Tour players have been hugely impressed by Koivun already.
He is clearly capable of competing at the very highest level right now and it’s fair to argue that he actually has the ability to win.

However, he’s a very patient young man. He is well aware that he doesn’t need to rush things, so much so that he has decided to finish his junior year at Auburn University.
Tiger Woods’ 30-year record is finally beaten by Jackson Koivun
Koivun earned his PGA Tour card for the 2026 season via the PGA TOUR University Accelerated programme.
Giving up the chance to play on the PGA Tour because he has full faith in his ability is quite something, given his age.
He has every reason to be confident about his game, though.
Koivun has just set a new college golf record at the Amer Ari Invitational in Hawaii.

He posted back-to-back rounds of 62 to lead by two strokes on 20-under-par with one round left to play at the Mauna Lani Resort.
It was a historic performance from Koivun, who now holds the college record for the lowest 36-hole total relative to par.
Woods has held that record for 30 years after he posted rounds of 65 and 61 at the Pac-10 Championship.
The mere fact that Tiger’s record stood for 30 years proves just how great Koivun’s performance has been this week.
Jackson Koivun a star in the making
It’s obvious to see that the youngster from San Jose, California, is destined for greatness.
He seems like a really level-headed young man as well, and that bodes very well indeed for him.
Is Scottie Scheffler more likely to end up with 50 PGA Tour wins and 10 majors or 25 wins and 5 majors?
Have we already seen the best of Scottie Scheffler?
Koivun has made seven out of nine cuts on the PGA Tour so far and has recorded two top-5 finishes already, as well as four top-25s.
While matching Tiger Woods’ records in the professional game will be an incredibly difficult task for Jackson Koivun, he has already proven that he is more than capable of enjoying a Hall of Fame career on the PGA Tour.
Patience will be key for the young American.
The good news is that he has displayed that he has that in spades and it would take a brave man to bet against him enjoying huge success in the professional game in the future.
