As YouTube and social media golf continues to boom in the golf space in general, the intrigue around whether or not an influencer can go fully pro remains a mystery.
At the moment, we do see the likes of Wesley Bryan and Bryson DeChambeau crossing the two over, while players like Phil Mickelson have been open to more social media content.
In the main, though, the big personalities in the space like Rick Shiels, Good Good Golf, Grant Horvat and more still seem some way off making it.
However, there is one man currently in the Good Good set up that does have PGA Tour experience and he’s admitted that he’s tempted to try again.

Brad Dalke admits PGA Tour players have asked him to make a return to pro golf
Speaking on the latest episode of the Scratch Golf Show, Good Good Golf star Brad Dalke spoke about a potential return to professional golf.
And in doing so, he admitted that a number of PGA Tour players had recently told him to try and give things another go.
“I’d say right now I am more on the full time content creator that can still play golf well and if I have some opportunities then great. I have been kind of getting the fire in the belly to play a bit more competitive stuff,” Dalke said.
“I saw in a span of two weeks – Joel Dahmen, Sahith Theegala and Jason Day and all three of those guys told me I need to start playing pro golf again. That will get the fire going again.”
“We will see what the future looks like. It’s tough because I am fully committed to Good Good, I have fun doing these trips and want to make sure I can be on every single trip or at least 95% of them, so with the pro schedule it would be tough if I started going that way, so we would have to figure things out.
“But I am just trying to get better at golf every day, just get a bit better and that way if I do get an opportunity, sponsor exemption or whatever it be hopefully I can be ready.
“Also I know competitive golf is so much different. I can shoot 64 all day on TPC Scottsdale on days where there is a little bit of pressure with the camera, but not a crazy amount. So I would definitely have to, if I get an exemption, get some mini tour events under my belt and get that competition form going again.”
Brad Dalke’s record in professional golf
While Brad Dalke might not have ever hit the heights of getting a permanent PGA Tour card, he has got the experience of playing some of golf’s biggest events.
Back in 2016, Dalke’s performance as runner-up in the US Amateur got him an invite to both The Masters and US Opens for 2017.
Unfortunately for Dalke, he missed the cut on both occasions but those experiences are still way more than most in the social golf space have.
Of course, for Dalke to make it back on the PGA Tour, it’s a long road where qualification would be needed, unless he does indeed get those exemptions he mentions.
Over time, with things like the Creator Classic very much taking off, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Dalke and more involved in bigger events.
