Min Woo Lee won the Houston Open on Sunday by one shot to Scottie Scheffler and Gary Woodland.
Lee had a four-shot lead after 54 holes and held onto it for most of the final round at Memorial Park.
That was until the par-5 16th hole, where he found the water with his drive and made a bogey to give others hope down the stretch.
World number one Scheffler and Woodland were ready to take it to a playoff, but Lee parred the last two holes to clinch a one-stroke victory.
It was the Australian’s first win on the PGA Tour, and now he and his sister have made some remarkable history.

Min Woo Lee and Minjee Lee join two other brother and sisters on short list
Min Woo’s sister, Minjee, is also a professional golfer on the LPGA Tour. She has won 10 events on the tour so far.
With Min Woo’s victory in Houston, they became only the third brother and sister duo to win on the PGA and LPGA Tours.
Cathy and Bill Kratzert were the first pair. They won three and four times on the LPGA and PGA Tours, respectively.
Jim Gallagher Jr and Jackie Gallagher-Smith are the only others to achieve the feat. Jim won five titles, including the Tour Championship in 1993.
There’s every chance that 26-year-old Min Woo and 28-year-old Minjee will become the most successful on the list by the end of their careers.

Min Woo Lee can follow in Minjee Lee’s footsteps and become major champion
Now that Min Woo has won his first PGA Tour title, his next ambition will probably be to win a major championship.
That’s something he can ask his sister about because she has already won the U.S. Women’s Open and Evian Championship.
| Major | Best Result |
| Chevron Championship | T3 (2017) |
| Women’s PGA Championship | T2 (2022) |
| U.S. Women’s Open | Won (2022) |
| Women’s British Open | 3rd (2020) |
| Evian Championship | Won (2021) |
Minjee has achieved far more than Min Woo until now, although he definitely has the talent to follow in her footsteps.
It would be too much to expect him to contend at the Masters Tournament in two weeks, but it wouldn’t come as a surprise to see him at the top of a major leaderboard sooner rather than later.
