Tommy Fleetwood is the third best golfer in the world right now but he is merely a beginner with a set of left-handed golf clubs in his hands.

Fleetwood finally got the monkey off his back by winning his first PGA Tour event this year, when he emerged victorious at the Tour Championship.

The 34-year-old Englishman proved to everyone that he does indeed have the mettle to get over the line in the very biggest tournaments.

Fleetwood’s stunning 2025 culminated in his rise to third in the world rankings and now the next step for him will be to win a major championship.

What specific part Tommy Fleetwood’s game do you think he must improve if he is to ever win a major?

However, away from tournament golf, Fleetwood is taking a light-hearted approach over on his YouTube channel.

He’s currently in the midst of his quest to break 100 series. The first two episodes showed him working on his game left-handed.

In episode three, Fleetwood took to the golf course to partake in a nine-hole match against … himself!

What Tommy Fleetwood shot over nine holes while playing left-handed

The 2025 Tour Championship winner will be working incredibly hard during the off-season in order to give him the best possible chance of achieving even greater success in 2026.

However, he has found the time to produce content for his YouTube channel as well.

He has just taken to the golf course and actually recorded a score for the first time while playing left-handed.

Fleetwood posted a score of nine-over-par 36 on the par-three golf course at Yas Links.

‘Right-handed Fleetwood’ shot four-under-par but he lost the match against ‘left-handed Tommy’ by a score of 4&2 due to the fact that he had to give his alter-ego two shots on every hole.

Lefty Fleetwood made four pars, four bogeys and a disastrous eight on his third hole.

However, averaging a bogey on every hole while playing left-handed was a mighty fine effort from Fleetwood.

Fleetwood was unquestionably one of the most consistent golfers on the PGA Tour in 2025.

Winning the Tour Championship in August turned a very good year into a great one.

As mentioned earlier, the next step is for Fleetwood to win a major or two.

He clearly has the ability to get it done in the four biggest events in the game and with his Tour Championship victory he proved that he has the required mindset as well.
