YouTube golf is more popular than ever before, and Grant Horvat is the most famous content creator.
He has over 1.5 million subscribers and has made videos with so many PGA Tour and LIV Golf superstars.
Horvat has filmed with Scottie Scheffler, Jon Rahm, Tommy Fleetwood, and more top players in the last few months alone.
He is not on their level, but his game is hugely impressive, and many fans think he could even play on the PGA Tour.
A former caddie has now explained the problem with Horvat’s swing that has prevented him from reaching a higher level.

Former PGA Tour caddie names issue with Grant Horvat’s golf swing
Former PGA Tour caddie Kip Henley recognizes something in Horvat’s swing that also troubled him in his playing career.
He pointed out that it could be the biggest reason why Horvat has never made it on the PGA Tour despite all his talent.
“The club whistling past his left arm immediately after impact is the reason he has struggled to ever make the Tour,” Henley explained.
“It’s the same reason I am a caddie and not a player. Not saying you can’t play great for short spurts, but long periods of great driving are rare.”
Henley’s unique swing path could mean that he is inconsistent with squaring the club face at impact.
However, one X user commented that Horvat has never tried to make it on the PGA Tour, so we don’t know that he couldn’t.
“Is that a question or a statement? If it’s a statement, then maybe he knows repeatability might be the cog in the wheel,” he responded.
“I can’t imagine a person, if they were good enough, not to want to travel the world and make millions of dollars playing golf.”

Grant Horvat’s golf swing compared to Luke Donald’s
A golf fan responded to Henley with the suggestion that Luke Donald is the only successful PGA Tour player with Horvat’s post-impact swing.
“Luke Donald is the only tour player I can think of with this type of post-impact position. He was never a great ball striker (insane short game),” he tweeted.
Henley admitted that there are probably more examples, but that it’s a trait often seen at lower levels.
“There are a few more and I could find them with some research, but it would be easier to just film the first tee of mini tour events and mid ams to see a million of that action,” he added.
The reality is that Horvat isn’t good enough to play on the PGA Tour regularly because nobody would pass up on that opportunity.
Still, Horvat deserves huge credit for forging an incredibly successful career in the sport without winning tournaments.
