The PGA Tour continues this week with the Procore Championship, which takes place at Silverado Resort in California.

The Procore Championship kicks off the 2025 FedExCup Fall, and features several high-profile PGA Tour players, including world number one Scottie Scheffler.

All but two of Keegan Bradley’s American Ryder Cup team will play at the Procore Championship, in a bid to prepare for the team event at Bethpage Black later this month.

Xander Schauffele will miss out due to personal reasons, while Bryson DeChambeau is ineligible to play on the PGA Tour.

A similar scenario is taking place regarding Team Europe, with the majority of Luke Donald’s team playing at the BMW PGA Championship.

Jake Knapp reveals the PGA Tour player he always sees in the gym

But American eyes remain firmly on the PGA Tour, where one player’s gym habits have emerged courtesy of Jake Knapp.

Naming the player who golf fans would be surprised to hear is always in the fitness trailer, he said on GOLF’s Subpar: “Sungjae [Im], twice a day every day. That boy works! I see him every time.

“We always say what’s up and reach out a little bit. He is in there literally twice a day every day, it does not matter what event.”

Where does Sungjae Im rank for driving distance on the PGA Tour?

South Korean star Im is a two-time winner on the PGA Tour, triumphing at The Honda Classic in 2020 and the Shriners Children’s Open in 2021.

The 27-year-old clearly wants to look after his body, which is certainly a common theme with many players in the modern game.

Many players will undoubtedly be aiming to improve their distance off the tee with regular workouts, although it seems that Im is not exactly prioritising that area of his game despite his affinity for the gym.

With an average driving distance of 297.1 yards, he ranks 133rd on the PGA Tour in 2025, recording a total distance of 55,265 yards from his 186 drives.

Jake Knapp explains what is ‘impossible’ about the PGA Tour fitness trailer

Fortunately for players such as Im, trailers are on hand to assist them, with the PGA Tour offering a fitness trailer and a therapy trailer.

And sharing insight into the fitness trailer at elevated events, Knapp said: “When you go in those weeks and there is only 50 or 70 guys in the field, that trailer is empty.

“When you have twosomes spread out through a long time, you have two or three guys in there at any given time. Especially at Amex or Torrey, that’s the worst one.

“You have 40 guys teeing off in a 30-minute window. So you have 12 guys trying to warm up in this little trailer and it’s impossible.”

Knapp is a PGA Tour record-breaker, with his impressive career so far featuring one win at the 2024 Mexico Open.

But the 31-year-old American fell short of adding to that success this season, where he made 23 appearances in total, carding four top 10 finishes.
