The American Express 2025 is here! The Golfing Gazette tells you all about it, from the payout to predictions and much more.
The new PGA Tour season kicked off with two tournaments in Hawaii – The Sentry and the Sony Open – and now it’s time for the West Coast swing.
The American Express has been won by several greats of the game since its inception in 1960, such as Arnold Palmer (five times) Phil Mickelson and Jon Rahm (twice), and some top players are queueing up to lift the trophy for the first time this week.
With Justin Thomas, Tony Finau and Tom Kim in action, here is all the important information about The American Express 2025.

However, the likes of Thomas, Finau and Kim should still make this PGA Tour event worthwhile to watch.

The American Express 2025 predictions
The Golfing Gazette writers predict who will win the American Express title on Sunday:
Jordan Harris: Sam Burns’ iron play was incredibly poor at The Sentry. But if that improves, he stands a great chance of winning this week. He has one missed cut in five appearances at this event, with four top-20 finishes, including a tied sixth result last year. He could be the man to capitalise on the absence of the world’s two best players.
Sam Stone: With Xander Schauffele and Scottie Scheffler not in action, I am backing Sam Burns to take advantage of the slightly weakened field. The American finished T6 last year and also placed in the top ten at the season-opener at The Sentry. I think he can go one better this time around.
