The LIV Golf promotion event is fully into the swing of things now with an exciting weekend ahead for the 20 players who made it into the final two rounds.
Those 20 players will now take part in what is effectively a 36 hole shootout on the same day to earn the rights to a guaranteed LIV Golf contract for the 2025 season.
As always, there’s been some big names to drop out and similarly, some big names who will be competing for that card.

And after a dramatic day in the second round in Saudi Arabia, we are now down to that final 20 and it features some very familiar faces.

PGA Tour winner part of final 20 in LIV Golf promotion event
The leaderboard for the final 36 holes is going to be reset to zero, which means the leader after two rounds, Scott Vincent, will see nothing for his efforts.
Instead, it’s 20-man shootout to land the riches of LIV and in among those 20 is former PGA Tour winner, Branden Grace.
The Vincent brothers are also in contention, while popular Aussie Ben Campbell will hope to be the winner.
Interestingly, American Ollie Schniederjans only snuck in to the final 20 by way of a lucky ruling on the final hole which allowed him relief after finding the edge of the waste area.
LIV Golf trying to create excitement with promotions event
LIV has had its critics over the years but you have to doff your cap on occasion and this is at least a good way to draw interest.
Sure, there could be more than the one card on offer and it might seem a lot of effort to go through to win just the single card.

However, the riches of the LIV tour mean it’s worth the ask for the players and this 36 hole marathon could be very exciting indeed.
It will be a battle of fitness and mental strength and in the end, just the single man will emerge with that coveted deal.
