Scottie Scheffler has been enjoying one of the best years golf has ever seen, with his 2024 not over yet.

Scheffler clinched seven PGA Tour titles this season, most recently lifting the FedExCup trophy after winning the Tour Championship.

The world number one also won the gold medal at the Paris Olympics, with Scheffler now eyeing the Presidents Cup.

He is part of the US Team for the iconic tournament, which will take place later this month at The Royal Montreal Golf Club.

Smylie Kaufman says Scheffler is having an ‘all-time year’, which has also included his second major title at the Masters.

Ted Scott jokes as Scottie Scheffler’s season statistics emerge

His caddie also deserves huge credit for the phenomenal season, with Ted Scott earning $6.2 million (£4.7million) for his efforts.

And Scott has now taken to social media with a tongue in cheek response to Scheffler’s success, saying: “Yep. I’m not coming back until 2026.”

Kyle Porter shared Scheffler’s key moments throughout the year, which include 17 top-10s and spending every week at world number one.

Describing the season, Porter wrote: “Truly a one of one season. Nothing like it before. Don’t think there will be anything like it ever again.”

Can Scottie Scheffler continue his stunning season at the Presidents Cup?

Scheffler started his season strongly and simply didn’t look back, clinching his first title at the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard in March.

That was quickly followed by The Players and the RBC Heritage, along with the small matter of his second Masters title.

Successes at the Memorial and the Olympics followed those wins, with Scheffler then topping the pile at the Tour Championship.

It can, of course, get even better for the world number one, who will be part of a very strong US Team at the Presidents Cup.

Scheffler will join the likes of Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa and Patrick Cantlay as the US Team aim to defend their title against the International Team.
