Stewart Cink is among the US Team assistant captains aiming to help clinch Presidents Cup success for captain Jim Furyk.
Cink, Justin Leonard and Kevin Kisner will be on hand to help Furyk try and overcome International Team captain Mike Weir in Montreal.
Both captains have caused controversy with their selections, having each needed to pick six players for the Presidents Cup.
Ryan Lavner would have picked Billy Horschel, but the latter has missed out on a spot for the US Team in Canada.
Justin Thomas was also snubbed, with Furyk opting for Keegan Bradley, Sam Burns, Tony Finau, Brian Harman, Russell Henley and Max Homa.

What does Stewart Cink think of Jim Furyk’s US Presidents Cup picks?
The six names represent the six highest points earners in the qualification list, with Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, Wyndham Clark, Patrick Cantlay and Sahith Theegala having all qualified automatically.
Assistant captain Cink has now shared his thoughts on the selections, saying at a press conference before the Ascension Charity Classic: “I feel really solid about our picks, and one of the main reasons is because the guys that we were focused on picking just lined up one through 12 and Jim didn’t have to go much outside of box, which is always a fear of a captain, to pick over somebody.
“So we got our top 12 lined up exactly the way we were forecasting that it would. The major shift was Keegan Bradley winning, and basically earned himself what amounted to an automatic berth seemed like.
“I think we’ll probably be joking with Keegan a little bit that he’s the first guy in a long time to be relieved of his duties as assistant captain.”
Keegan Bradley earns Presidents Cup playing role
Bradley was indeed the only player that seemingly required any sort of consideration for Furyk, with the former relieved of his assistant captain duties in order to focus on playing.
The new Ryder Cup captain has found great form of late, finishing T21 at the Tour Championship after winning the BMW Championship.
He now has the chance to show what he can do in a team scenario, before being the man in charge when Team USA meet Team Europe in New York this time next year.
The Royal Montreal Golf Club hosts the next edition of the team event, which the US Team have dominated since its inception.
History is, therefore, undoubtedly on Furyk’s side going into the tournament, as is player form given that he can rely upon the likes of world beaters Scheffler and Schauffele.
