Scottie Scheffler safely tucked away his first PGA Tour win of the season at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson last week.
Si Woo Kim had the pleasure of playing alongside Scheffler for the first two rounds, and his good friend clearly taught him a lesson.
The 28-year-old was in scintillating form at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson and nobody could hang with him at TPC Craig Ranch.
Scheffler decided to skip the Truist Championship this week following his win, in order to prepare for The PGA Championship at home.
The Texan’s game is in perfect shape heading into the second major of the season.

Every department of his game was exceptional to watch in McKinney, Texas last week.
And Si Woo had a front row seat.
Si Woo Kim shares ‘insane’ thing Scottie Scheffler did at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson
The two-time major champion needed that win in his home state badly.
He has been in incredibly solid form this season, but couldn’t quite get over the line with a victory, until Sunday at TPC Craig Ranch that is.
Si Woo Kim played with Scheffler and Jordan Spieth during the first two days.
The South Korean star posted solid rounds of 67 and 69, and that left him at six-under-par at the halfway mark.
However, he was a ridiculous 12 shots adrift of Scheffler at the time, after the American posted rounds of 61 and 63.
Si Woo, 29, told Dan Rapaport how the world No.1 made him feel rather inadequate.
He said, “I’ve played with him a couple of times, but, like, I know he’s really good, but last week was insane.

“I felt like I was terrible. I was still, like, seven (under), like, I feel so poor, I feel like rubbish. I feel like I’m not on the PGA Tour.
“Like, God versus, like, way below, like, all the flags, right at the pin, right at the flag, I feel like the pin’s pulling his ball like this, fishing.”
Scottie Scheffler unstoppable as he climbs career earnings list
It’s incredible to think that Scheffler isn’t yet 30, and he already has 14 PGA Tour wins to his name, and an Olympic medal!
The fact that he’s already third on the career money list really is insane as well.
| PGA Tour record | Scottie Scheffler |
| Appearances | 139 |
| Wins | 14 |
| Top 5s | 47 |
| Top 10s | 64 |
| Career earnings | $78,504,784 |
It would surprise nobody if he surpassed the $100 million mark by the time the 2025 season is finished.
Scheffler is the best player in the world. If truth be told, Rory McIlroy is the only player who can really challenge him when he’s at his best.
And Scheffler will be desperate to make it major number three at The PGA Championship at Quail Hollow next week.
