Sergio Garcia has been one of LIV Golf’s biggest supporters over the past four years.

Back in 2022, Garcia was one of the biggest names to jump ship from the PGA Tour in order to join LIV Golf.

Sergio Garcia is the captain of the Fireballs team on LIV Golf and he genuinely believes in what the league has to offer the professional game.

Do you want LIV Golf to fold?

Does LIV make professional golf in general better or worse?

However, it’s fair to say that the Spaniard has regressed as a golfer since joining LIV.

Since moving to LIV, the 46-year-old has missed four cuts in the 10 majors he has played and has only finished inside the top-25 once – a tie for 12th at The U.S. Open in 2024.

In spite of those poor showings, his enthusiasm for LIV Golf has remained steadfast and his support of the league has never wavered.

Whether Sergio Garcia believes LIV Golf will survive beyond this season

Garcia addressed the media in Spain on Tuesday morning ahead of LIV Golf Andalucia which starts on Thursday.

The Spaniard responded when asked whether he is concerned about the uncertainty currently surrounding LIV.

Well, I wouldn’t say there’s a lot of uncertainty, he said.

I think that obviously there’s a little bit of uncertainty. But we’re really excited about the work that our CEO, Scott, and his team are putting in.

We enjoy being involved in it, giving our input and seeing how we can help make sure that the league keeps going forward.

We’re very confident that that’s going to happen. It’s just going to look different.

In my opinion, more than being worried about if LIV is going to keep going or the league is going to keep going, it’s more how is it going to look going forward.

I think that’s where we are, and we’re trying to figure out the best way possible moving forward and how we can be excited for all of us, not only ourselves but our fans, our sponsors, everyone that is involved.

We’re looking forward to seeing the final product.

He responded when asked whether he feels the need to keep morale high in the camp, given what is going on in the background.

No, obviously I try to give them updates on what’s going on, and obviously they want to know what’s going on, he said.

But at the end of the day, they can make their own decisions. The only thing that I can do is provide them with the most information possible about what’s going on moving forward.

But not only myself. Obviously they are smart individuals, and they’re asking also the right people around the league about what’s happening because they want to know. It’s nice to see, but I think we’re all excited to see where we are going forward.
