Happy Gilmore 2 is officially out for release and as expected, the world’s top golfers have been having their say on the movie, including world number one Scottie Scheffler.
The sequel to one of cinema’s greatest ever golf movies hit screens on Friday and this time around, we see a host of PGA Tour stars taking to the screen.
Some of the best in the world, such as Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele and Justin Thomas, all feature in what is going to be one of Netflix’s biggest hits to date.
Of course, for the players tuning in to watch the film, seeing some of their closest and best friends turn their hands to acting provides plenty of amusement on its own.
Indeed, for world number one Scottie Scheffler, it was seeing his good pal Xander Schauffele on the big screen that provided him with the biggest laugh.

With the film getting its big debut just yesterday, it’s been a huge talking point among the golfing community.
Not least with Scheffler, as the world number one spoke to the Pardon My Take podcast about just how funny he found Xander Schauffele’s cameo.
“The one I laughed the hardest at, and I actually texted Xander this the other day, his lines in the movie are really, really funny,” Scheffler revealed.
“Him and Rickie did a really good job. So did Will Zalatoris. To be honest with you, I thought everyone did a really great job. I can’t imagine how difficult it is for real actors to deal with us trying to make a movie not look terrible and they did a really good job of helping us along. It was really entertaining and really funny.”
Scheffler, of course, features in the film himself but clearly, he sees more value in observing some of his best friends from TOUR.

Golf fans react to Scottie Scheffler’s Happy Gilmore 2 cameo
Scottie Scheffler is not renowned for being the most charismatic guy on the PGA Tour but he is also an intriguing character with a quick wit.
Scheffler is always up for a laugh and a joke and is always open with his answers to the press too.
However, it’s his little line of ‘not again’ in Happy Gilmore 2 that has got fans on social media loving Scheffler even more.
One fan lauded the world number one for his ability to multi-task.
“Scottie Scheffler, best player in the world and was the best part of Happy Gilmore 2.”
While another praised Scheffler.
“Scottie Scheffler seeing the police and saying “Not again” in Happy Gilmore 2 is brilliant”
And the praise continued for the world’s best players, with other fans commending his ability to laugh off his most serious career incident to date.
“Happy Gilmore 2 isn’t nearly as bad as I expected. There’s actually some funny moments. Scottie Scheffler “not again” when being arrested was great.”
Given the star power and how well received Happy Gilmore 2 has been, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a third instalment somewhere down the line.
