Scottie Scheffler earned his 20th PGA Tour win at the American Express on Sunday.
Incredibly, Scheffler has now won 20 of his last 81 PGA Tour starts – a 25% win rate since February 2022!
The 29-year-old’s performance at the American Express was exemplary. He never really got out of second gear and delivered a masterclass in plotting his way around the golf course.
Teenage sensation Blades Brown was hugely impressed by Scottie Scheffler, specifically the way in which he went about his business during the final round of the American Express.
How many times do you think Scottie Scheffler will win in 2026?
Over or under 4.5…
Brown also lauded Scheffler’s short game at the American Express and insisted that the world number one has just fired him up to go out and work even harder on his game.
The world number one has been the dominant figure in the professional game over the past few years.
And that dominance looks set to continue for many years to come.
Scottie Scheffler posts message after securing 20th PGA Tour win
Scheffler isn’t one for the fanfare and he rarely engages on social media after winning golf tournaments.
The 29-year-old from Dallas, Texas, is very much a God-fearing, family man and that’s what makes him so good.
Golf isn’t the be-all and end-all for Scottie.

However he performs on the golf course is irrelevant to him when he goes home to his family. Luckily for Scheffler, though, his bad days on the golf course are few and far between!
The 20-time PGA Tour winner took to his Instagram account after his victory at the American Express last week.
In typical Scheffler style, his post was short and sweet and very humble indeed.
The four-time major champion said: “God is good. Thankful to earn win No. 20 at the American Express. What a week!“
With a lifetime PGA Tour membership now secured, the next step for Scheffler will be to put himself alongside the true greats of the game.
Can he reach 60+ PGA Tour wins and 10+ major championships? The way he’s going, truly anything is possible.
Jason Day so impressed by Scottie Scheffler
Scheffler continues to wow his fellow PGA Tour players every week, it seems.
After his American Express triumph, Jason Day told reporters just how impressed he has been by the American’s consistency.
He said: “I mean, just the patience and not only the belief that he has in his game, but the ability to be able to shake off all the distractions around him. To be able to get on to the golf course and play the way he does,” he said.
How many majors do you think Scottie Scheffler will win during his career?
The world number one already has four majors under his belt
“Very unorthodox in the way that he swings the club, and it’s not like we’re looking at Tiger, but he’s putting up Tiger-ish numbers, even though Tiger was, you know, obviously the GOAT.
“But, yeah, I mean just, every time he tees it up he’s right around the lead. And that is one of the most difficult things to do, to always stay hungry to the point of not being satisfied. Because it’s very easy to get satisfied out here.
“You win a couple of times, you’re like, well, I’m kind of relaxed and I can coast for a little bit. And it seems like he never wants to relax.
“He always does his work, needs to do whatever he needs to do to be able to prepare, and he’s always around the lead. And that’s a very, very difficult thing to do with how much distractions there can be, especially at number one.”
Day is spot on there. The hunger that Scheffler has to keep getting better and to improve as a golfer really is quite remarkable, given how good he already is.
That must be a very scary thought for his rivals.
