The Ryder Cup is just months away now and Team USA skipper Keegan Bradley is very much a man under the spotlight.

Bradley is still yet to fully decide if he’ll be a playing captain or not and as it stands, his form would suggest he’s one of the best 12 players in the USA ranks.

Trevor Immelman has told Bradley to simply play and leave the captaincy to someone else, while in-form American golfer Harris English has claimed Bradley is too good not to be playing as well.

Still, for now anyway, Bradley’s focus is on captain duties and right now, he has a few of the world’s best players under his guidance.

One of those is the world number one, Scottie Scheffler.

Scheffler won The Open last week to continue his fine run of form in 2025 and he’ll go to Bethpage Black as the man Team USA look towards to deliver big.

Now, Scheffler himself has thrown his weight in on the Bradley situation.

Scottie Scheffler’s verdict on Keegan Bradley as Ryder Cup captain is in

Scheffler has been speaking on the Pardon My Take podcast this week and covered a lot of bases with his answers to a number of questions.

With attentions gearing towards the Ryder Cup, Scheffler was asked simply if Team USA are going to win.

And while Scheffler remains confident, he also had a word on how he’s found working under Bradley so far.

“That is the plan! Nobody wants to win the Ryder Cup more than I do,” Scheffler admitted.

“The Ryder Cup is going to be fun. It’s going to be exciting. And Keegan has been amazing so far. He has been great for us and extremely fired up.

“I think the whole team right now is really excited about getting there. “

With Bradley facing a big few weeks in terms of his final decision, it will be interesting to see just which way he goes.

He knows the pressure is massive and ultimately, whatever call he does make could decide the winner.

Team Europe must be loving the USA’s indecision

It’s a very tricky spot for Keegan Bradley to be in, in fairness.

Yes, he wants to captain his country but at the same time, this is a man still in his prime in terms of playing golf and there aren’t many who are as fierce a competitor as he is.

However, while this all drags on in the background, Team Europe will be sat relishing things.

Under Luke Donald, the Europeans are stable, secure, and all know what is to come.

There are a few big decisions for Donald to make in terms of his selections but nothing compared to what Bradley and the US face.

Right now, the odds are stacked in Team Europe’s favour and until this situation is resolved, it will remain that way.
