Min Woo Lee can now call himself a PGA Tour champion, having just triumphed at the Texas Children’s Houston Open.
Lee failed to wrap up the Houston Open on Saturday, but still managed to hold off the likes of Scottie Scheffler and Gary Woodland on Sunday.
Scheffler kept Lee on his toes at Memorial Park Golf Course, with the Australian just about holding on for his first PGA Tour win.
Lee finished on 20-under to come out on top in Texas, just one shot ahead of both Scheffler and Woodland in T2.
The 26-year-old was making his 56th PGA Tour start at the Houston Open, and his seventh start of the 2025 season.

Houston Open champion Min Woo Lee labelled ‘prodigious driver’
Lee posted rounds of 66, 64, 63 and 67 throughout the week, carding 26 birdies, 40 pars and six bogeys.
And Ryan Lavner has now shared his verdict on the Houston Open champion, saying on the Golf Channel Podcast with Rex & Lav: “He was very streaky last season on the PGA Tour.
“He would have stretches where he would play well, got himself on the fringes of contention, but could never convert.
“I think when you look at Min Woo Lee’s skillset he is obviously a prodigious driver of the golf ball. He was not a good putter on the PGA Tour, I know he has made significant strides, I think he is now a top 25 putter on the PGA Tour this season, last year he really struggled.
“So if you are not finding fairways and not making putts, his approach play numbers were very, very bad. You never see an elite player who loses strokes to the field in that category.”
Min Woo Lee reminds Ryan Lavner of Wyndham Clark after Houston Open win
Latest PGA Tour champion Lee ranked second for Stokes Gained: Putting at the Houston Open, and first for SG: Total.
And he has now risen 11 places in the former statistic on the PGA Tour in general after the latest tournament, with the Australian now occupying fourth place for SG: Putting.

Such a scenario has resulted in Lavner comparing Lee to 2023 US Open winner Wyndham Clark, who finished T5 at the Houston Open, five shots behind the champion.
“He actually sort of reminds me of Wyndham Clark, who when he is on with his driver, he can just cut down beefy, mammoth golf course down to size,” continued Lavner.
| Rank | Change | Player | Avg | Total SG: Putting | Measured rounds |
| 1 | +4 | Nico Echavarria | 0.907 | 28.104 | 31 |
| 2 | -1 | Brandt Snedeker | 0.878 | 18.433 | 21 |
| 3 | -1 | Sam Ryder | 0.857 | 28.283 | 33 |
| 4 | +11 | Min Woo Lee | 0.815 | 21.198 | 26 |
| 5 | -1 | Sam Burns | 0.789 | 20.502 | 26 |
“As we saw and as we have seen at times in Wyndham Clark’s career his iron play can be very good as well.
“And now, you know, he can pair that with a hot putter at times and all of a sudden you have a player who wins Signature Events and major championships, as Wyndham Clark has done.”
