Rory McIlroy enjoyed a superb end to his BMW PGA Championship, with his seven-under 65 helping him rise up the final leaderboard.
McIlroy finished T20 at the BMW PGA Championship, level with Ludvig Aberg, Joaquin Niemann and Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen on 12-under.
Five-time major champion McIlroy was delighted with his final round of the DP World Tour event, which was won by Alex Noren.
Noren, a European vice-captain at the upcoming Ryder Cup, overcame Adrien Saddier in a playoff to lift the trophy at Wentworth.
All but one of Luke Donald’s Ryder Cup team played at the BMW PGA Championship, with Sepp Straka absent for personal reasons.

What Rory McIlroy couldn’t believe about his final round of the BMW PGA Championship
McIlroy wasn’t his side’s best performer, but he finished his week in superb fashion with a fantastic fourth round.
And analysing his best shots from Sunday’s round, he told the DP World Tour: “This is a three wood. There was a lot of mud on this golf ball.
“I hit a low little draw… I got lucky to have a swing. But that was a really good shot. The second shot on 17 has given me trouble all week.
“Honestly I was just trying to get this 30 or 40 yards up the fairway and try to get it up and down for par. I can’t believe it came out as well as it did.
“That thing was absolutely buried, as you can see from the surprise on my face. But that was a bonus that it came out the way it did, and it was nice to make an easy four after that.
“Second shot on the fourth hole was just a six iron as hard as I could hit it, trying to hit it up in the air, get it to land soft, which it did.
“Landed on the fringe there and trundled down to a foot or so. And that was nice. I bogeyed the third hole, so it was nice to make an eagle there, and bounce back after that.
“And then four iron into 18. I felt like I had a little too much club so I was just trying to sort of chop something up in the air.
“I left it a little out to the right, but it landed soft which was nice. And obviously gave me that putt for the eagle.
“And then the eagle putt, it was a nice putt, downhill right to left. Just hit it out there, let the slope bring it down.
“It was nice to play the par fives well today, I played them so badly for the other three days. Played them in six under today. Felt like the par fives owed me something, and obviously really nice to finish like that.”
Rory McIlroy continues box-office golf in final round of the BMW PGA Championship
McIlroy has had a season to remember, having won three times on the PGA Tour at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, the Players Championship and The Masters.
And all were won in truly thrilling fashion, particularly his playoff victory over Justin Rose at Augusta National.
While such wins may be excruciating for the Northern Irishman before finally getting over the line, it truly is superb entertainment for fans.
Such drama was on show on the DP World Tour just last week, when McIlroy won the Irish Open via another playoff.
He eagled the final hole at The K Club last time out, and did the same at Wentworth this time around to finish off a phenomenal Sunday.
But in true McIlroy fashion, he didn’t make it easy for himself at times, only to remarkably recover and provide fans with many moments to remember.
