Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry won their fourball match against Justin Thomas and Cameron Young on Saturday.
It was an epic battle between two strong teams, where the European duo had to play all 18 holes to claim their full point.
However, the biggest talking point during the match was the hostility of the atmosphere at Bethpage Black.
Many American fans heckled McIlroy and Lowry throughout the afternoon, even when they were standing over the ball.
McIlroy has now explained whether he thinks the United States supporters crossed the line in his latest interview.

Rory McIlroy comments on the American fans at Bethpage Black
Rory McIlroy showed immense passion throughout the match with bold celebrations whenever he or Lowry made important putts.
We know that he is desperate to win the Ryder Cup anyway, but it definitely looked like he was fueled by the crowd on Saturday.
They definitely wound him up on a few occasions, but McIlroy gave a diplomatic response when asked about them after his fourball victory.
“Look, when you play an away Ryder Cup, it’s really, really challenging. It’s not for me to say,” he said.
“People can be their own judge of whether they took it too far or not. I’m just proud of us for being able to win with what we had to go through.”
McIlroy also spoke about how pleased he was to win a point for Team Europe alongside his close friend (Lowry).
“Hugely satisfying. It’s Shane and my first full point as a partnership,” he added. “We got a half-point yesterday.
“Another blue point on the board is what we wanted to do. I am so proud of this guy. He was with me all day.
“I am drained, to say the least, and he dug in big time when he had to. I chipped in when I could here and there, but the credit goes to this guy today.”

Shane Lowry reacts after winning foursomes match with Rory McIlroy
Lowry showed as much, if not more, emotion than McIlroy in their fourball match against Thomas and Young on Saturday afternoon.
The Irishman had a slow start to the match, but he warmed to the challenge and provided his playing partner with all the support he needed.
“It was intense. It was something I had never experienced, but this is what I live for,” Lowry reflected. “This is the reason I get up in the morning for stuff like this.
“This is what I love doing. I love being a part of this team. I really wanted us to win this tournament.
“That’s only a point towards victory. We still have a job to do. We have quite a big lead, but we need to keep our foot on the gas and get over that line as quickly as possible.
“But I am very happy now and enjoying this, but I’m going to go and cheer the boys in right now.”
