Rickie Fowler has visited the innovative SoFi Centre several times in preparation for the inaugural TGL season, which starts in January.
As the first round of matches draws near, numerous big-name players have ventured to Palm Beach to test the unique indoor facilities.
Billy Horschel was impressed with the arena, and golf fans even caught a glimpse of Tiger Woods’ swing for the first time since the 2024 Open Championship.

Rickie Fowler drops warning ahead of the TGL

Whilst speaking on the latest edition of the Smylie Show, Fowler was asked for more details about the TGL and what fans can expect.
More specifically, the American was quizzed on whether a wayward shot could hit fans in attendance.
Fowler, however, confirmed that longer shots into the screen won’t threaten the audience. “You are safe. You are good,” he said.
The 36-year-old did admit bunker shots could provide more of a risk to those in certain sections of the arena. “The only area is if you may get a bit short-armed on a bunker shot! The bunkers play very soft and foamy,” Fowler added.
“So it’s sand, and it’s a fine sand, and underneath the sand, the liner is another type of astroturf, so it’s kind of spongy. That’s taken a little time to get used to, or trust how slow it is. So be careful; there could be a little bit of a thin one that might come out hot.”
TGL set to test PGA Tour schedule
With the TGL scheduled for midweek, some players will play a lot of golf between now and March.
The PGA Tour season starts at The Sentry at the beginning of January before the Sony Open, which also takes place in Hawaii.
Players participating in both events, as well as the first TGL match, may need to travel from Hawaii to Florida after the Sentry tournament. They will then return to Hawaii just a few days later for the second event of the season.
Fowler, along with the rest of New York Golf Club, will play in the first-ever TGL match against Wyndham Clark, Ludvig Aberg, Shane Lowry, and Min Woo Lee from Bay Golf Club.
