The seemingly never ending debate around LIV Golf, the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour seems to continue every week but Richard Bland has offered a blunt verdict on returning to another tour from LIV.
Bland was one of the players who took the money from LIV and in fairness to him, he has made no secret of his desire to go and earn that money.
Bland, who won the British Masters in 2021, and more recently won the US Senior Open to ensure he can play that tournament for life.
Of course, a place on LIV is not permanent for anyone and amid the controversy, some golfers will be aware they need either the DP or PGA Tour once LIV ousts them.
However, for Bland, that discussion is not even something he’s going to entertain.

Richard Bland shares whether he’d join the DP World Tour again after LIV
Speaking to Golf Monthly, Bland has admitted that when his time with LIV Golf does come to an end, he sees no reason to carry on back on the DP World Tour.
“I will play LIV for as long as I can. Probably when that finishes, that’s probably me done,” Bland said.
“That’s why I’m not losing a huge amount of sleep over the sort of denial of an exemption to Champions Tour because as I feel right now, I don’t really have any desire to go and play.
“So yeah, obviously it’s well documented my brother’s health has not been great so that’s really kind of shifted my, where I and what I want to do in the future. I don’t really want to be playing competitively while I’m 55 or 56 or whatever.
“I’ll probably still going and player US PGA cos obviously I’m exempt for life. But as it is now, when my LIV career ends, I end so to speak.”
Bland is currently part of the Cleeks Golf Club over at LIV and has been going along steadily in 2024.
The 51-year-old counts Tiger Woods as the golfer he most admires and according to LIV’s official site, Bland is the proud owner of a whopping ten hole in ones in his career!
