Chris Gotterup and Wyndham Clark head into the final round of The Scottish Open with a real chance of winning the tournament.
Gotterup is tied for the lead at The Scottish Open alongside Rory McIlroy on 11-under par, whilst Clark is sitting two shots back.
McIlroy will have the Scottish Open crowd firmly on his side on Sunday at The Renaissance Club.
However, Gotterup and Clark should relish the opportunity of being right in the thick of it in what is such a big tournament.
The two American players were not fancied at all at the start of the week, but they have already proven a lot of people wrong with their fine performances so far.

Can either of them go one step further and lift The Scottish Open Trophy on Sunday though?
Rich Beem makes Chris Gotterup and Wyndham Clark Scottish Open predictions
Gotterup and Clark will be playing in the final group alongside McIlroy at The Renaissance Club on Sunday.
McIlroy is clearly the strong favourite to win the tournament, but does Rich Beem see the two American players making things difficult for the Masters champion?
The 2002 PGA champion was speaking on Sky Sports in the UK at the end of the day’s play on Saturday in Scotland, and was asked how he sees day four playing out.
Firstly, Beem gave his verdict on how Gotterup will fare during the final round at The Renaissance Club.

The American explained: “He doesn’t [have a lot of experience] but how he makes up for it is he’s not afraid. He said to us, ‘listen, I’ve got to beat everybody anyways, and whether or not I’m paired with them in the final round or not, I’ve got to beat everybody to win this championship’. I like his chances, I don’t think he’s going to go quietly into the night tomorrow, I think he’s going to hang tough.“
Then Beem switched his attention to Clark’s chances of winning The Scottish Open on Sunday.
He said: “I think that Rory and Chris are playing together, Wyndham Clark as well, Watch out for Wyndham, he has got one of these new putters, just like J.J. Spaun, our US Open champion is using. He is putting it lights out, if he continues that I think he’ll be very hard to hold off.“
Chris Gotterup vs Wyndham Clark career PGA Tour results
The two American players have completely contrasting records.
Whilst Gotterup, 25, is a baby on the PGA Tour, relatively speaking, Clark has huge experience, in spite of the fact that he is only 31 himself.
Here is how their respective PGA Tour records look:
| Achievements | Gotterup | Clark |
| Appearances | 61 | 182 |
| Wins | 0 | 3 |
| Major wins | 0 | 1 |
| Top-5s | 2 | 12 |
| Top-10s | 3 | 26 |
| Missed cuts | 26 | 61 |
Sunday at the Scottish Open is a huge day for both Gotterup and Clark.
The 31-year-old has the chance to get his career back on track after a really poor last 12 months or so, whilst the 25-year-old can make a big statement by winning a huge tournament very early on in his career.
