Sepp Straka is now a two-time winner on the PGA Tour in 2025, having emerged victorious at the Truist Championship.
Rory McIlroy celebrated with Straka at the Truist Championship, where the latter clinched a two-shot victory.
Straka finished on 16-under at Philadelphia Cricket Club, with Justin Thomas and Shane Lowry tying for second.
Thomas disappointed himself in his final round, having himself fallen just short of a second PGA Tour win of the season.
Focus now turns to the PGA Championship, with Quail Hollow playing host to the second major championship of 2025.

Sepp Straka major championship chances after Truist Championship win
And speaking ahead of the event, Rex Hoggard has given his take on Straka’s chances of major success after his win at the Truist Championship.
“I don’t know about major championship contender because once you start breaking down his stats, what he did so well at Philly Cricket Club is he putted so well,” Hoggard said on the Golf Channel Podcast with Rex & Lav.
“But you break it down and he is a very inconsistent putter. It is not as though he is regularly ranked inside the top 10 on the PGA Tour relative to his playing partners.
“However, when he is on, and I was at the American Express and I had to go back and look at the stats and look at what he did there and it was a very similar formula.
“When he is putting well, he strikes the ball plenty well enough to contend on any golf course. I will be curious because he has had a little bit of success at Quail Hollow.
“I’m not sure I would immediately put him on any list [to win]. But certainly he is the type of player that Luke Donald knows he has a trump card, not just with Sepp Straka but so many other players. They just fill those roles so well.
“You wouldn’t necessarily think they are going to be at the top of the marquee and it’s going to be him and Rory and Shane Lowry and all of the European heroes. That’s not the case at all. He is just a really good golf player.”
Truist Championship winner Sepp Straka rises PGA Tour putting average stats
Straka produced a superb display to come out on top at the Truist Championship, where he needed to see off fierce competition from a handful of star players.
But he held his nerve to secure a fourth career win on the PGA Tour, with Ryder Cup captain Donald certain to have been keeping a close eye.

Straka also won the American Express earlier this season, with his latest efforts helping him rise two spots in the PGA Tour putting average list, which measures the average number of putts per green in regulation.
The 32-year-old finds himself in great company, and represents yet another European winner on the PGA Tour in 2025.
