RBC Heritage expert picks

The Golfing Gazette experts have made their picks for the RBC Heritage this week.

Jordan Harris: If Russell Henley is going to win a signature event this year on the PGA Tour, it is surely most likely to come at Hilton Head. Henley is one of the most accurate drivers on tour, and he produced a hugely impressive final round at The Masters to put himself in contention for a time.

James Shearman: Patrick Cantlay is a leading contender to win the RBC Heritage this week for two reasons. Firstly, he has an excellent record at the tournament, with three top-five finishes in the last four years. Secondly, Cantlay’s form is trending in the right direction after finishing T12 at The Masters and T7 at the Valspar Championship.

Charlie Walker: Xander Schauffele has been rejuvenated in 2026 and has done everything but win a golf tournament. He was well in the mix at Augusta, but a few holes on Saturday cost him dearly. He still got inside the top 10, and I expect him to get a well-deserved win at Harbour Town.

Peter Lynch: Tommy Fleetwood was among the players in contention at The Masters, only to fade away after a disappointing final round. But I think he has the mental strength to recover and the game to come out on top this week, although it won’t be easy given the strength of the field.
