Kai Trump’s LPGA Tour debut ended in a missed cut at The ANNIKA after rounds of 83 and 75.

It’s easy to criticize Trump after she finished dead last on her LPGA Tour debut, but she deserves huge credit for her second round 75 at The ANNIKA.

Trump’s opening round 83 at The ANNIKA proved just how good the LPGA Tour players are.

The 18-year-old plays to a +0.5 handicap, don’t forget!

Should Kai Trump have received a sponsor exemption for The Annika?

She comes from a golfing family, of course. Kai Trump’s grandfather is the President of the United States, and Donald Trump is said to be the main reason why his granddaughter got involved in the game to begin with.

And one PGA Tour player posted a humorous message involving the President after Kai Trump’s second round at Pelican Golf Club in Florida.

Trump received glowing praise for her second round 75 at The Annika, and rightly so.

She showed real courage to bounce back from her disappointing opening round on Thursday.

PGA Tour player Byeong Hun An took to his X account on Friday night in reaction to Kai Trump’s second round 75 at The ANNIKA.

He said: Her grandad has no chance against her.

President Trump claims that he has won 38 club championships throughout his golfing career.

He is an avid golfer and can definitely play by all accounts but Byeong An is right, the President’s granddaughter is unquestionably on another level to him.

Kai Trump’s stats at The ANNIKA

It’s clear to see that Trump’s weakness in Florida this week was her putting.

She will definitely have to improve on the greens if she is to have a future on the LPGA Tour.

Kai Trump shared her thoughts on her opening round at The Annika

“I was definitely more nervous than I expected, but I thought I hit a lot of great shots out there. I hit a lot of good shots just to the wrong spots.

“And obviously being, you know, my first LPGA event, now I kind of know how it goes. I felt like a little out of order in the beginning but I kind of got it going afterwards.

“Yeah, I mean, I learned a lot. It was amazing. I had a great time out there. Yeah, didn’t play the way I wanted obviously, but for my first event ever I think I played pretty good”

In fairness to Trump, she drastically improved her putting and her iron play on day two, but she still has a long way to go if she is to compete at the very highest level.

However, the big positive for her is that she is clearly long enough off the tee, and she will only increase her speed and distance as she gets older and trains harder.

Kai Trump is pretty accurate with her driver as well, as she showed during her second round at The ANNIKA.

There is no need for her to feel disheartened about her debut on the LPGA Tour. In fact, she should be extremely proud of her efforts in Florida this week.
