The PGA Championship 2024 day one is finally here. The Golfing Gazette brings you the full schedule, how to watch and all the key info you need to know.
As dawn breaks over the lush green fairways of Valhalla Golf Club, anticipation fills the air as golfers from around the world are set to compete for one of the grandest prizes in the sport – the PGA Championship.
This year is set to be bigger than ever. With players like Masters champion Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Brooks Koepka and Xander Schauffele knocking around – it’s set to be an absolute spectacle.
Day one beckons. Get ready, and welcome to the PGA Championship 2024.

Key storylines to follow on day one of the PGA Championship
Can Scottie Scheffler win back-to-back majors?
Scheffler has recently become the most dominant golfer on the entire planet.
He took home first place as the Masters 2024 and will be looking to acquire his second major of 2024 with the Wanamaker Trophy for the first time.
Prior to the Masters, the 27-year-old had won eight times in just 26 months on the PGA Tour and arrived with six top-six finishes in his first eight starts this year. He’s the favourite, but will he come out on top?
Will Rory McIlroy keep up his fine form?
It has been a fantastic couple of weeks for McIlroy. He won the Zurich Classic and then the Wells Fargo Championship in quick succession – but can he do it on the big stage?
But as everyone knows, his performance in majors is anything but commendable. So with his luck clearly in at the moment, well besides his file for divorce earlier this week, can he emerge victorious at Valhalla for his first major win in nearly 10 years?
Will we finally see the best of the ‘new’ Tiger Woods?
Tiger Woods is back for another major, a familiar feat he knows all too well – but it isn’t the same Tiger were used to seeing dominate on the fairways.
He’s only made two starts this season and had bad luck in both. He had to pull out sick in the second round at Riviera and bad weather forced him to traverse after 23 holes on the Friday in the Masters.
Will we finally see him back to his best in Kentucky? We sure hope so.
