Peter Finch says International star overstepped the line during day three of the Presidents Cup at Royal Montreal

YouTube golf star Peter Finch believes one International Team member overstepped the line after producing an over the top celebration on day three of the Presidents Cup.

Jim Furyk’s United States Team made it ten successive Presidents Cup victories after a dominant performance during Sunday’s singles.

The event wasn’t without drama, however.

Tom Kim was involved in an incident with Scottie Scheffler and Si-Woo Kim produced enthusiastic celebration after holing out on the 16th green to tie his match against Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele.

Kim circled the green imitating Steph Curry’s infamous night night celebration. However, after losing on the 18th, USA star Wyndham Clark replicated Kim’s antics.

Finch, speaking on the latest edition of the Rough Cut Podcast, believes Kim went too far.

“It felt too much for me [Si-Woo Kim’s celebration]. It’s just like you can’t do that and then not go on to win. You can’t do that and then not go on to be a dominant force,” Finch explained.

“Doing something like that as well sometimes brings out the negative in most people. At the end of the day when Wyndham Clark said ‘Night Night Si Woo’, It was so awkward.”

Si-Woo Kim and Tom Kim provided Presidents Cup X-factor

Si-Woo and Tom Kim provided entertainment at Royal Montreal and that’s exactly what the Presidents Cup needed.

The competition is stale and is in desperate need of the International Team to improve. The South Korean duo were instrumental in building the atmosphere and Si-Woo’s celebration will be remembered for a long time.

Criticism being thrown their way feels harsh, and USA star Justin Thomas agrees. “It’s no surprise I love guys showing emotion and getting into it in these team events,” Thomas wrote on X. “As a viewer SW and Tom were the energy yesterday for their team.

“I also think some of those celebrations are so out of body you don’t even know what you’re doing haha.”
