Bryson DeChambeau has been on fire at LIV South Korea, and he currently leads by four shots heading into Sunday’s final round.

Dechambeau fired rounds of 65 and 66 to sit on 13-under-par two thirds of the way into LIV South Korea at the Jack Nicklaus Golf Club in Incheon.

It caused somewhat of a stir when, on Thursday, DeChambeau compared the atmosphere at LIV events to major championships.

The 31-year-old has been in fine form this season, but he has failed to get over the line with an all important win yet.

DeChambeau has been putting much better at LIV South Korea, and he seems primed for his first victory on the Saudi-backed golf league since September 2023.

However, the two-time major champion’s superpower is still very much his ability with his driver in hand.

Not only is he the longest hitter in the game, but he is also fairly accurate as well.

Pat Perez says Bryson DeChambeau is doing something he’s never seen before

DeChambeau looks unstoppable out in South Korea right now, and any score in the 60’s on the final day will surely see him end his week back in the winner’s circle.

The reigning US Open champion has made the Jack Nicklaus Golf Club look very easy during the first two days of play.

And it really isn’t a straightforward golf course.

Sergio Garcia, Paul Casey, Abraham Ancer and Phil Mickelson are some of the big names out of the 17 players who are over par after two rounds.

However, DeChambeau’s game is on another stratosphere to everyone else’s right now, and Perez admitted that he has been blown away by the way he has driven the golf ball.

Perez said, He hit a three wood pin high on 15, it’s just dumb. I saw what I have seen for about five events now in a row. The driver is just unreal, where he is hitting this thing. I have never seen a guy hit it that straight and that far consistently. A lot of guys hit it long but he is in the middle of the fairway. He hit it past the bunker on 18 into an area that is 18 yards wide and hit nine iron in. He is just killing this thing. He is walking down the middle of every fairway and he is 30 or 40 by Luis and Gooch. It’s just incredible.

That driver is such a weapon. Where he is hitting that driver is just incredible.

Perez is certainly right there. When the two-time major champion is on his game with his driver, he really is very hard to stop.

Bryson DeChambeau’s unbelievable LIV driving stats

DeChambeau averaged a whopping 342 yards off the tee on day two at The Jack Nicklaus Golf club.

He is number one in the driving distance rankings on LIV this season, with an average of 332 yards.

However, perhaps the most surprising thing is that he’s actually inside the top-10 for driving accuracy as well, with an impressive average of 62.7% fairways hit.

Being a long and straight hitter of the golf ball is obviously a lethal combination.

And that should put DeChambeau in a really strong position to go and win at least one major this season.
