Like most sports, golf often throws young players into the limelight early on before the pressure gets too much and eventually, they fade away.
Of course, there are exceptions to the rule.
Over the years we’ve seen the likes of Tiger Woods dominate from being young, while Rory McIlroy has fulfilled his potential as well by becoming one of golf’s best ever.
Nowadays, the likes of Ludvig Aberg and Tom Kim are being given the same sort of treatment and in fairness to those two in particular, they are cruising along nicely.
Of course, America is always a hotbed of talent but with golf being a worldwide sport, there are players from Europe, Asia and beyond who have massive careers.
And according to DP World Tour player Pablo Larrazabal, one 22-year-old European is on course to be a mega star in the world of golf.

Pablo Larrazabal says David Puig is already a superstar of golf
Popular Spanish star Larrazabal was answering a bunch of questions over on his X account from fans about all aspects of his life in golf.
Intriguingly though, one fan asked him which European will be the next star of golf.
And answering the question simply, Larrazabal admitted he didn’t quite know, but named LIV Golf star David Puig as someone he already considers a superstar.
Who is David Puig?
David Puig is a 22-year-old Spanish golfer who has made headlines in recent times after his move to LIV.
Puig cut short his college career to make the move to LIV and he joined the Torque GC team alongside Joaquin Niemann, Sebastian Munoz, and Mito Pereira.
However, Puig himself has made a splash by winning a number of events outside of LIV as well.
Puig won the International Series Singapore at the back end of 2023, before following it up with another win on the Asia Tour in February of this year when he won the IRS Prima Malaysian Open.
The Spaniard has also had huge success in LIV, helping Torque to four team event wins in 2023.
He did only finish in 55th at the US Open this year and was cut in the PGA. However, Puig is very much a star on the rise and as Larrazabal says, is already considered a superstar by some.
