Nico Echavarria is set to play alongside Cameron Young in the final group on Sunday at the Wyndham Championship.
Young holds a commanding five-stroke lead after three days at the Wyndham Championship, but he will have Echavarria breathing down his neck from the very first hole on Sunday.
Amazingly, the 28-year-old New Yorker is still searching for his first PGA Tour victory, with this week in North Carolina being his 94th start.
Young switched to hitting a draw ahead of the Wyndham Championship, and that has paid dividends during the first three rounds of the tournament.
His ball-striking has been very solid so far this week but it is his putting which has carried him to the top of the leaderboard.

The man from Scarborough, New York, is ranked first on the greens at the Wyndham Championship.
Young still has hopes of qualifying for the Ryder Cup team, and a win this week would go a long way to helping him achieve that goal.
Nico Echavarria comments on Cameron Young at the Wyndham Championship
The two golfers will face off on Sunday afternoon at Sedgefield Country Club.
Echavarria already has two PGA Tour wins to his name, so he may well be more comfortable than Young during the final round.
After his third round 64, the 30-year-old was asked to share whether he has experienced playing alongside Young in the past.
He said: “Maybe I’ve played once with him. Not much. He’s a great player. He hits it a long way. Clearly he’s being aggressive off the tee and it’s hard to do it out here, but he’s hitting fairways and he’s having short shots out there and I think that’s probably why he’s leading. He’s probably leading off the tee and hitting it close.“

The man from Colombia then said he fancied his chances of winning on Sunday. He was asked why he chose to say that.
He responded: “Because I’ve been there before and I like being in this position, I like being in the final group. I’m not going to hide tomorrow. Yeah, we play tournaments to win. When I’m in the final group on Sunday, that’s why I put so much work into it.“
That’s what you call confidence, and Echavarria needs that in spades if he is to overturn the five-shot deficit he currently faces.
The largest 54-hole leads lost in PGA Tour history
The largest lead ever lost after 54 holes on the PGA Tour currently stands at six shots.
Incredibly, it has happened to nine different players throughout the years.
| Player name | Year and tournament | Final round score |
| Bobby Cruickshank | 1928 Florida Open | 80 |
| Gay Brewer | 1969 Danny Thomas-Diplomat Classic | 73 |
| Hal Sutton | 1983 Anheuser-Busch Golf Classic | 77 |
| Greg Norman | 1996 The Masters | 78 |
| Sergio Garcia | 2005 Wachovia Championship | 72 |
| Spencer Levin | 2012 Waste Management Phoenix Open | 75 |
| Dustin Johnson | 2017 World Golf Championships-HSBC Champions | 77 |
| Scottie Scheffler | 2022 Tour Championship | 73 |
| Collin Morikawa | 2023 Sentry | 72 |
Looking at some of the names on that list, Young is definitely not guaranteed to be victorious at the Wyndham Championship, with Echavarria slotted in just behind him.
He will need to keep his focus on Sunday and simply continue to do what got him in this position in the first place.
