LPGA Tour superstar Nelly Korda took on YouTube phenomenon Grant Horvat in a head-to-head battle in Florida this week.
Korda is one of the best players in the women’s game, if not the best when she’s on top form.
Meanwhile, Horvat is a plus four handicap golfer who has become a real internet sensation over the past few years.
Horvat began at five-under par, with Korda on even-par, as they took on each other from the same tees.
However, the LPGA Tour star tied Horvat at five-under par after 18 holes, having made up five strokes on him.
She then got the better of him in a play-off. There has been a lot of talk going around on social media recently regarding whether scratch handicap male golfers could beat Korda.
Her win against Horvat after overcoming a five-shot deficit emphatically answers that question.
Nelly Korda names who she’d want to partner to face Grant Horvat and Phil Mickelson
Midway through her clash with Horvat, the YouTube star brought up the possibility of Korda partnering up with someone to take on himself and Phil Mickelson.

Horvat asked Korda, hypothetically, which player she would pick to partner up with against the YouTube phenomenon and Mickelson.
Korda said: “Against you and Phil, oh Scottie, that’s a good one, that would be fun. Would you guys get shots?
Horvat replied: “No, we’re 4-0 though.“
Korda then said: “Scottie, let’s take them.“
Whether you are a follower of YouTube golf or not, the thought of Korda and Scheffler taking on Horvat and Mickelson is surely a tantalising one.
Who hits their driver further out of Horvat and Korda
Korda proved her brilliance as she carded a round of five-under par against Horvat, while the YouTube star posted an even-par 72.
However, which player hit the ball the longest off the tee?
Well, Korda said she carries her driver around 250 yards and usually rolls out to around 270.
Meanwhile, Horvat flies the ball 275 yards through the air and rolls out to 290.
So Horvat clearly has the edge on Korda in the distance department, but crucially, the women’s world number two is quite obviously a better all-round golfer.
Any scratch golfers who believe they can beat Korda, or any LPGA Tour star for that matter, are quite obviously well wide of the mark.
