LIV Golf has continued in earnest this weekend with the conclusion of the Saudi Arabian leg of its tour in Jeddah.

Joaquin Niemann won once again to make it two wins from three on this seasons LIV schedule as he continues his fine form heading into the Masters in April.

The LIV players are under the spotlight ahead of Augusta, where star man Jon Rahm goes into the tournament as one of the favourites and defender of the green jacket.

Of course, much has been made about the LIV Tour, the PGA Tour, and DP World Tour in recent months as top players move over to the Saudi-backed effort. For the most part, the casual golf fan still claims the PGA is where it’s at.

However, speaking about actually being on the LIV Tour, new signing Adrien Meronk explained why, in his view, it’s better for the players than being on the others.

Speaking in an interview in Jeddah this weekend, Meronk confirmed he has a few reasons why he feels better being on LIV.

“It’s amazing. It’s much more enjoyable, it’s more entertaining, you know. On tour it’s lonely most of the time and here we have the team and even the other teams, it’s like one big family. So it’s great spirits and I’m really enjoying my time here,” Meronk said.

Meronk has been quite outspoken in general since making the move. The Polish star referenced being overlooked for The Ryder Cup as a key reason behind his decision to move over in the first place.

Of course, a nice chunk of money makes it easier to settle in as well.

However, Meronk’s comments on the team element and now being alone all the time are interesting in fairness to him. Golf can be a lonely place and, after all, everyone is different.

Maybe, then, Meronk will thrive further by being around people more often.
