Australian PGA Tour star Min Woo Lee has revealed something that he’s “missed out” on this year, which has been a bitter pill to swallow.
The 25-year-old has played 12 events in 2024 and has missed just one cut, coming during the Valspar Championship in March.
Woo Lee has also impressed in the major championships, with his lowest finish coming during the PGA Championship, where he tied for 26th.
However, the world number 36 has admitted he’s frustrated after missing out on specific events on the PGA Tour schedule.

The PGA Tour’s eight signature events concluded at the Travelers Championship last week. The Aussie, however, has featured in just one, coming in March’s Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill.
For the recent Wells Fargo Championship, Memorial and Travelers, the 25-year-old has had to watch on from the sidelines.
Speaking ahead of this week’s event, the Aussie outlined his desire to participate more regularly in the signature events.
“Obviously, to get into the signature events,” he explained. “That was one thing this year that I missed out on. I would’ve really loved to have played those events. That’s one of the bigger goals.”
Woo Lee went on to suggest watching on from afar has been hard to take this season.
“I think that it’s great [signature events] that the PGA Tour is doing that,” he added. “I’m not the one to moan about it. I guess I played every major, which was awesome and amazing, but to not play every signature event was hard to take a little bit.
“I know I got to play better and make the cut-off line at the end of the year. I think it’s great. Obviously, it’s a new thing, and all of us are trying to get into those events.”

The limited field events have certainly provided entertainment this season; Scottie Scheffler’s dramatic wins at the Travelers and Memorial are two good examples.
With increased prize money and FedEx Cup points, there’s undoubtedly more incentive for the world’s best players to participate. Furthermore, during the 2024 season, there has been a 2% increase in prize money for the winner.
For Woo Lee to feature more regularly next season, he must ensure he finishes inside the top 50 in the FedEx Cup points list. With the Aussie 64th, there’s work to do.
Another route for the 25-year-old will be to improve his OWGR. The top 30 in the world automatically gain exception. A solid end to the 2024 season will put him in an excellent position to compete in some of the most significant events come the 2025 campaign.
