PGA Tour star Michael Kim has quickly become a fans’ favourite in the last few years and after a fine 2025, he’s been laying out his plans for 2026.
Kim won the French Open to round off a fine year that saw him finish inside the top 40 for the season and land four top ten finishes on the PGA side of things.
It means Kim has now won on both the DP World and PGA Tours and going into the next year, he’s very much a player to keep an eye on.
Of course, one of the reasons for his popularity is how open he is with fans on social media with his thoughts and opinions.
And now, speaking on the Pat Mayo Experience, Kim has admitted there is even more to come if he gets his way.

What Michael Kim wants to achieve in 2026
Like so many Americans, Michael Kim will have looked on in anguish at the US Ryder Cup team losing to Team Europe.
As we know, there isn’t another Ryder Cup for two years now but in 2026, we will see the Presidents Cup return.
And according to Kim, that is one of two ‘carrots’ dangling for him as he goes into next year.
“It’s awesome, it’s been awesome but you know, golf and the PGA Tour does an awesome job of always having a new carrot dangling,” Kim explained.
“So like last year I wanted to be top 50 to play in the signature events for next year. But now after watching the US lose at the Ryder Cup, I really want to play and feel I’m in a spot with my game to actually contend to be on one of those teams. So next year, trying to make the Presidents Cup is a carrot there that I really want to make.
“I finished 31st, so the Tour Championship is the next carrot for me. So it’s awesome that I’ve moved along this much in my career and hopefully I can keep it going.”
Michael Kim’s 2025 PGA Tour season in numbers
The only thing that would have topped things off for Kim in 2025 is if he’d managed to get over the line on the PGA Tour as well as the DP World Tour.
He came closest to doing that at the WM Phoenix Open when he finished as runner-up but he still enjoyed a fine season.
Kim has come close to losing his card in the past so to finish 31st and be in contention for all the signature events and most majors already, is a real testament to his improvement.
| Result | |
| Events played | 26 |
| Cuts made | 21 |
| Top 25s | 7 |
| Top 10s | 4 |
| Prize money won (USD) | $4,089,131 |
In terms of players to keep an eye on in 2026, Kim is definitely in the mix as someone who is more than capable of winning again.
And if he does, you can bet your bottom dollar that there’ll be plenty of chat on social media to celebrate!
