Max Homa returned to PGA Tour action this week at the Procore Championship, where he finished T19.
Homa competed with the American Ryder Cup players in Napa, who were using the event as preparation for Bethpage Black.
And their star man Scottie Scheffler emerged victorious at Silverado, with his Ryder Cup teammate Ben Griffin finishing second.
They ended the PGA Tour event on 19-under and 18-under respectively, while Homa finished on nine-under at the Procore Championship.
He missed out on a spot on this year’s American Ryder Cup team, despite ending the 2023 event as their top scorer.

But his snub arrived amid a disappointing season for the 34-year-old, who last won on the PGA Tour at the 2023 Farmers Insurance Open.
But the six-time champion is upbeat about his current level, writing on Instagram after the Procore Championship: “If you look real hard you can see a little progress being made.”
Homa carded rounds of 71, 69, 73 and 66 in California, and was joined by six other players in T19 in the leaderboard.
Why Max Homa won’t have been considered by Keegan Bradley for the Ryder Cup
While Homa will likely be disappointed to have missed out on another Ryder Cup, particularly after his display in Rome, he can have very few complaints.
His lack of wins in recent times and indeed lack of mere impressive performances meant his name was likely not even in the conversation.
Keegan Bradley needs all of his players firing on all cylinders at Bethpage Black, and Homa just isn’t at the same level as the 12 men involved right now.
But his openness and lighthearted take on his game is a refreshing sign, with the American hopefully able to get back to his best as soon as possible.

There’s no doubting the player’s ability when he is in top form, with six PGA Tour titles on his impressive CV.
This season, however, he’s missed the cut a huge eight times from 21 appearances, with just one top 10 finish recorded.
