We’ve seen some big changes in golf over the years but we haven’t quite seen anything like we saw at the Solheim Cup today.
With Team USA and Team Europe in the heat of battle, American golfer Alison Lee holed out for eagle on the second hole in a moment that would spark wild scenes.
Out of nowhere, the pair of Team USA caddies took it upon themselves to get a little excited in their celebrations as both caddies took their tops off and began celebrating wildly.
The moment went down well on the course as the fans lapped it up and it was reminiscent of Harry Higgs and Joel Dahmen in 2022 at TPC Scottsdale.
Of course, there’ll be plenty of debate about ‘golf etiquette’ on this one.
And even the among the pros, it’s already causing a bit of a stir as two of the games top players offered up different takes on the matter over on social media.

Max Homa and Pablo Larrazabal see topless Solheim Cup caddies in different ways
While the modern golf fan will embrace the attitude and fun aspect of the Team USA caddies, it’s not for everyone.
One man who it’s not for is a certain Pablo Larrazabal. The Spanish golfer was straight onto social media platform X voicing his concern.
However, while the European star wasn’t a happy man, one of the USA’s top players, Max Homa, seemed to have a different view on the matter.
Taking to his own X page, Homa seemed to very much enjoy the moment as he lapped up the celebrations to roar Team USA on.
Team USA celebrations were way over the top
While golf should be fun and this isn’t the end of the world, this all felt a tad inappropriate.
Yes, had this shot won a point or even won the Solheim Cup itself, then this sort of celebration would have been more than fine.
However, simply holing out from the fairway early in a round when it means relatively nothing is all a bit ridiculous really and in the end, it will annoy Team Europe.
Whether it proves to be the catalyst for Europe to make a comeback and almost take it with offence, remains to be seen.
But this will be a major talking point and in the main, you can imagine it’s not gone down too well.
