Bryson DeChambeau produced some sensational golf at Valhalla in his final round to just come up shy and lose out to Xander Schauffele.

DeChambeau was one of the players in the chasing pack going into the final round and roared into contention with a stunning round of 64.

In the end, it proved to be just not enough as Schauffele holed a nervy putt on the final hole to pick up his very first major win after coming so close in previous years.

For DeChambeau, a return to major golf seems to be what he needed, despite doing well over on the LIV Tour.

The big hitting American was one of the most divisive players on the PGA Tour previously and since his move to LIV, those who did dislike him have tried to ensure everyone else feels the same.

However, DeChambeau’s performance this week has reminded everyone what he brought to the table on the PGA Tour.

His personality, energy, and quality with the golf club shone through all week and there is a feeling now that the PGA might actually be missing a trick by losing him.

Indeed, it seems golf fans on social media have loved seeing DeChambeau back in action.

Golf fans all seem to be loving Bryson DeChambeau now

Over on social media platform X, a number of golf fans were sharing their thoughts on DeChambeau and what he brings to the game when he’s part of these major tournaments.

And in the main, it looks pretty unanimous that the golfing world is simply better when Bryson is involved.

More users also weighed in on what DeChambeau brings to the table and seemed in agreement with the above two statements.

@MaddoxTate89267 added:

His energy is infectious. He’s oddly likeable because he’s so quirky

While another user, @Cameronjudson, questioned whether he only left the PGA due to restrictions on social media content.

I heart Bryson. I wonder if the tour let him film for YouTube like he wanted if he would have stayed. It’s like he is goofy but he is golf goofy. We are all a little golf goofy

More X users added further opinions as well, and it was much of the same theme.

It very much seems, then, that DeChambeau has got back into the hearts of many a golf fan after his performance at Valhalla.

It begs the question, then, of just when will the LIV and PGA Tours resolve their differences.
