It seems that it is not just golf fans who have been somewhat gripped by the challenge Bryson DeChambeau has taken on in which he has attempted to hit a hole in one over his own house.
Of course, much of the golfing world largely has its thoughts now set on 2025, with the PGA Tour and LIV Golf done for 2024. With that, Bryson DeChambeau has sensed an opportunity to make himself even more popular.
The two-time major champion has taken part in a challenge in which DeChambeau has attempted to hit a hole in one over his own house. Each day, he has given himself one additional attempt to get the job done.
Luke Donald reacts as Bryson DeChambeau makes a hole in one
He has had a number of close calls along the way – which is truly remarkable given that the 31-year-old had not been able to see the green with an entire house in his way. DeChambeau also found himself aiming at the part of the house which certainly appeared to have the most glass.

But with shot 14 on day 16, DeChambeau did it. Unsurprisingly, the shot prompted wild scenes, with the Crushers GC captain sprinting around the house to make sure that the ball was indeed in the hole.
Many have expressed some disappointment that the challenge is done. And they have been joined by European Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald. Donald is clearly upset that there will seemingly be no further videos…

Meanwhile, Grant Horvat replied to DeChambeau’s Instagram post with… ‘I’m feeling good about Day 16’.
All eyes on what DeChambeau does next
It would be a surprise if DeChambeau continued the challenge. But what the last couple of years have shown is that DeChambeau’s next idea is just around the corner.
He has also just finished his latest series of the Break 50 challenge on his YouTube channel. So it would be a surprise if the next challenge is not already being worked on.
Meanwhile, the match involving himself and Brooks Koepka, and Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler is coming up in December. That could definitely be a game-changer if it lives up to expectations.
