Tommy Fleetwood continues his excellent recent run in 2025 by winning the DP World India Championship and as expected, some of his Ryder Cup teammates are delighted for him.
Fleetwood held off Keita Nakajima by two shots to seal an emotional win in front of his family.
The win in India is Fleetwood’s eighth on the DP World Tour and first in 2025 and means he has now won on both the PGA and DP World Tours in ’25, in addition to helping Europe win the Ryder Cup.
Other big names in the tournament like Shane Lowry and Rory McIlroy were in and amongst the top 30, with Lowry in particular not far behind on -18.
Of course, making a habit of winning is a good sign for Fleetwood as we hurtle towards 2026 and over on Instagram, the likes of Lowry and Team Europe captain, Luke Donald, have been reacting to the Englishman’s latest win.

One of the big elements of Team Europe being so successful is the team spirit and camaraderie that has been built up by Donald and his vice-captains.
Indeed, when someone on the European team is successful, there seems to be a bond and genuine good feeling from the rest.
Now, over on Instagram, both Donald and Shane Lowry have reacted to Fleetwood’s win and the tournament in India in general.
Adding his own reaction to the win for Fleetwood, Irishman Lowry also posted on the platform despite coming up just short of his Ryder Cup teammate.

Tommy Fleetwood will win a major in 2026
Tommy Fleetwood has been one of the best golfers in the world for some time now and the next hurdle for him to overcome is getting that first major.
He got his first PGA Tour win in 2025 and he’s very much a man in form at the moment across all elements of his game.
If Fleetwood can maintain this sort of form going into 2026, then it looks like we might finally see him land that first major as well.
With the Masters only six months away now, Fleetwood will surely have an eye on getting to Augusta National in the best possible shape and from there, trying to win that first green jacket.
If he does, then just like his win in India here, we can expect the golfing world to be delighted for the Southport native.
