LIV Golf has seen a climb in its viewing figures during this weekend’s event in Adelaide.
The Australia stop has proven popular among fans, and Patrick Reed praised the crowd at The Grange after he made a spectacular hole-in-one during the first round.
Clearly, those in Adelaide have embraced the LIV product better than most, and there’s no doubt the event down under is the blueprint for the PIF-backed league moving forward.
What’s more, those watching at home are seemingly more engaged than during LIV’s opening event in Riyadh.
LIV Golf viewing figures spike in Adelaide

LIV Golf Riyadh recorded poor viewing figures on Fox Sports 2, which led many to question the league’s place within the professional game.
However, the latest figures to emerge from Fox Sports 1 are more encouraging.
According to data from YeahClickClack, LIV Golf averaged 114,000 viewers during round one. This is a significant increase from the 19,000 average for the season-opener in Saudi Arabia.
What’s more, given the time coverage is shown in the US, LIV officials will be thrilled with the number of people who caught a piece of the action in Adelaide.

PGA Tour viewing figures from 2025 season
LIV, unfortunately, still has a way to go to catch up with the PGA Tour‘s viewership.
During Thomas Detry’s WM Phoenix Open win, 2.9m viewers tuned in, which was a 500,000 increase from the year prior. However, the Belgian’s win was a significant drop from when Scottie Scheffler won back-to-back titles in 2022 and 2023.
Last week’s event in Phoenix was a boost for the PGA Tour after a difficult start to the season. Only 400,000 people tuned in for Hideki Matsuyama’s win at The Sentry. Thankfully, the numbers have gradually risen since then.
With Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy set to battle it out at the Genesis Invitational this weekend, the latest PGA Tour event could provide the highest viewing figures thus far in 2025.
